why we started

Somewhere along the way, children's bedding stopped being about sleep.

And parents stopped questioning its role in how children rest.

Something didn't make sense to us.

Parents put so much thought into evidence-backed choices, all in pursuit of better sleep.

They research mattresses.
They invest in blackout blinds, white noise machines, sleep consultants and room thermometers.
They think about temperature, routines and sleep associations.

But bedding — one of the biggest parts of a child's sleep environment — is treated as a styling tool.

Why was bedding the exception?

The child had become secondary to the product.

Children's bedding has its own version of fast fashion.

Cheap fabrics.
Printed finishes.
Artificial softening.
Seasonal collections.

The category has become increasingly focused on how a bedroom looks — colour, characters, trends — rather than what a child actually needs from the environment they sleep in for around 12 hours a night.

The category started designing for the room, and forgot the child sleeping in it.

No one was designing bedding for how children sleep.

Children spend almost half their early lives in bed.

They deserve bedding and sleep products designed with the same thought, care and evidence that parents already seek in every other part of healthy sleep.

The category hadn’t started with sleep.
So we did.

Minó is bedding designed around how children sleep — not simply how their bedrooms look.

Stop choosing your children's bedding like it's décor. Start choosing it like part of the sleep environment.

Designed for rest, not decoration. Backed by research, not trends. Built for years, not seasons.
