Why does my child need an eye mask?
Light is an important signal to the body's sleep-wake cycle. Children's eyes also let in more light than adults', so creating a genuinely dark sleep environment can be particularly useful — especially in summer, during daytime naps or when travelling.
Can an eye mask really help my child sleep?
We think the better question is: can darkness help? Yes.
Light is one of the cues that helps regulate the body's sleep-wake rhythm, and research has shown that light exposure can influence melatonin. Eye-mask studies have also found improvements in sleep quality, including in school-age children.
The Lights Out Eye Mask is designed to create complete darkness around the eyes — removing one more source of stimulation from the sleep environment.

Will the Lights Out Eye Mask block all the light?
It's designed to provide complete light-blocking darkness when correctly fitted. The adjustable strap helps you create a secure fit around your child's face so light isn't able to creep in around the edges.
What age is the eye mask suitable for?
The adjustable strap is designed to accommodate growing children. We recommend that children are old enough to comfortably and independently tolerate wearing an eye mask and that parents supervise its use, particularly with younger children.
Why is it made from silk?
We chose Grade 6A, 22 momme mulberry silk because it is exceptionally smooth, lightweight and breathable. It feels gentle against the delicate skin around the eyes without creating unnecessary heat.
Will it make my child's eyes hot?
That's one of the things we specifically designed against. Mulberry silk is naturally breathable, helping the area around the eyes maintain a comfortable, temperature-neutral feel rather than trapping heat.
Can my child wear it all night?
It's designed for overnight sleep, but comfort and safe use come first. Your child should be comfortable wearing it and able to remove it independently. For younger children, we recommend parental supervision and following age-appropriate safe-sleep guidance.
